Hello Friends of the John Jay Community Trail,
We will be out working on boardwalks #3 and #4
-Friday 7/5 starting at 10AM,
-Sunday 7/7 starting at 10:30am, and
-Monday 7/8 at 10am to continue the summer 2019 trail building push.

IMPORTANT: Email jjtrailrace@gmail.com if you are planning to come one or more of these days. If we have a change of plans or meeting time for these work sessions we can let you know if we know you are coming.
If you can’t make it at the start we welcome volunteers anytime!
Check the map below showing the locations of our work teams – boardwalks 3 & 4.
We are also putting together a more focused email distribution list of Summer 2019 volunteers so we don’t keep sending emails to the entire race distribution list (thank you all for your patience while we get this sorted!).

Fundraising Update
We are very close to our goal — but we still need Class of 2019 matching donations to fully realize the challenge matching donation made in June! We have received $1000 (update: $1050!) in donations in the name of the Class of 2019. The challenge gift will match up to $1,500. This means your gift will be doubled if given in the name of the class of 2019!
Based on the generosity of the class of 2019 families shown in the past — from volunteering to donations — we are confident the class of 2019 can rise to fully fund the challenge amount! Thank you to all donors for your donations to date!
We will also continue to accept donations through the end of the Summer of 2019 if you would like to contribute. We have done our best to estimate our material and supply needs — but it is always possible we run into unforeseen snags such as increasing lumber costs or difficult terrain — and might need more funds for different solutions than we have estimated.
If you haven’t done it already, don’t forget to donate today. Thank you!
If you have any questions, please let us know at jjtrailrace@gmail.com.Thanks for your help — and see you on the trails!
