UPDATE: Summer 2019 – Double Your Gift!

We received a proposal about an exciting matching gift for the John Jay Community Trail!
The proposal: a $1500 challenge matching gift! If we can get an equivalent total donation (+$1500) in the name of members of the graduating class of 2019 the donor will match it.
The answer: I think the class of 2019 can do it, do you? YES!
How can you help?: Donate today and put ‘matching gift’ or ‘2019 parent’ after your name where you can indicate “donation in the name of” so we know right away it is for this matching challenge gift. Grandparents, friends, and relatives can also give in the name of a ’19 grad.
If When we get this done, the third bridge would be called the “Championship Bridge” in honor of the amazing results the team has had over the last 4 years, including the 2x NY State Girls Championship teams in 2015 and 2017, the Westchester County Champions, and many League and Section titles. It would also be in anticipation of championship teams in the years to come with the advent of our new home trail and course.
This will be a lasting legacy that the class of 2019 and families can leave for the younger athletes.
–> Donate today!
What if we are not in the Class of 2019?
If your athlete is not in the current graduating class of 2019 — maybe they are younger or maybe they graduated recently — there are still plenty of reasons to donate your dollars and volunteer your time! The bridges and boardwalks we are building are designed to last for decades and will be used by thousands of athletes and community members in the future.
There are still naming options open for the boardwalks we are currently working on. See the https://jjtrail.org/donate page for details on donation levels. If another class or local group wants to form together to bundle a gift — or do a matching challenge gift — we are very open to any and all proposals.
Our overall summer 2019 target is to exceed $5,000 in new donations — plus have a full summer calendar of volunteers building boardwalks and the final bridge.
We are working this week on the Trails, Boardwalks, and Bridges!
We will be out working this Friday starting at 9AM and this Sunday 6/23 (time TBD). Meet at the Pit Field. Sign up or send us an email at jjtrailrace@gmail.com to get plugged in to these current and future volunteer work plans!
Any and all contributions — both financial and time — are welcome and appreciated. We have had recent contributions ranging from $5 to $500 from individuals. There is no minimum and everyone gives what they can! THANK YOU!
Note: If you have the SportsYou app on your phone, you can join our JJTRAIL volunteer team with the code ZTNS-L5H6 to get volunteer updates.
If you have any questions, please let us know at jjtrailrace@gmail.com.
Thanks for your help and see you on the trails!
